3) 통제착각
Taylor의 연구(1991)와 Weinstein(1980)의 연구방법을 참고하여 통제착각을 측정하기 위해 외부의 긍정적 사건(예: 아주 좋은 집에서 살 수 있다 등)과 부정적 사건(예: 몹쓸 병에 걸린다 등)을 선정하였다. 긍정적 사건은 스스로의 힘으로 잘 할 수 있다는 내용과 부정적 사건은 자신이 막을 수 있다는 등으로 하여 자신이 외부의 긍정적, 부정적 사건을 통제할 수 있는 가능성의 여부에 질문을 각각 10개 선정하여 20문항을 만들고 긍정적, 부정적 사건에 대한 자신의 통제 가능성을 물었다(부록 Ⅳ참조).
즉, 긍정적 사건과 부정적 사건 각각에 대해 그 일이 “스스로의 힘으로 그 일이 어느 정도 자신에게 (긍정적 사건의 경우) 일어나게 할 수 있는지 혹은 (부정적 사건의 경우) 일어나지 않게 할 수 있는지”를 물었다. 즉, 그 일을 여러분 자신에게 일어나도록(혹은 일어나지 않도록) 전혀 할 수 없다고 생각되면 1에, 매우 잘 할 수 있다면 7에, 그 중간 정도일 때는 1과 7사이의 해당숫자에 표하도록 하였다. 그러므로 긍정적, 부정적 사건에 대한 응답 수치가 모두 높을수록 통제착각이 크다고 해석하였다. 본 연구자가 실시한 결과 분석…(생략)
