1. Introduction
The consumption of hot beverages such as coffee or tea is a common ritual enjoyed by people around the world. However, drinking hot liquids can pose certain risks, including burns to the mouth and throat, which can detract from the enjoyment of the beverage. To address this issue, innovations in drinking apparatus, such as specially designed straws that allow for the safe consumption of hot drinks, have become increasingly relevant. This project focuses on the analysis of heat transfer using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to evaluate how such straws can facilitate the drinking of hot beverages while minimizing the risk of thermal injury. Heat transfer in fluids is a complex phenomenon that involves both convection and conduction. When a hot liquid is drawn through a straw, it encounters the ambient temperature of the air, the temperature of the straw material, and the surrounding environment. The interaction of these thermal elements plays a vital role in deter
