In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Among His many creations, He formed a beautiful garden called Eden. In this garden, He placed a man named Adam. Adam was the first human being and was created in the image of God. He was given the responsibility to tend to the garden and to name all the animals and creatures that God had made. Adam lived in paradise, surrounded by an abundance of nature, with rivers and trees filled with delicious fruits. God saw that Adam was alone and decided that it was not good for man to be alone. Therefore, He caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep and took one of his ribs to create a woman. When Adam awoke, he was amazed to see the woman, whom he named Eve. Eve became Adam’s companion, and they experienced the joy of living in harmony with each other and with God. In the garden, God provided everything they needed, but He also gave them one commandment.
