본문/내용
교사 : 오늘 날씨도 더운데도 오래 달리기 열심히 해줘서 선생님은 매우 기쁘게 생각한다. 이렇게 더운 날씨에도 여러분들이 운동장에서 오래달리기를 해야만 하는 이유가 무엇이겠습니까 ?
학생들 : 준비 운동으로 하는 줄 압니다. 우리는 그 동안 달리기로 준비 운동을 줄곤 해 온 걸요. 체력을 기르기 위해서 하는 줄 압니다. 심장과 폐의 기능을 높이기 위해서는 달리기가 좋다고들 하던데요.
교사 : 그래 답변들 잘 했다. 오래 달리기는 준비 운동으로도 좋고 심폐기능의 발달에도 매우 효과적이다. 그런데, 기타 또 중요한 목적 또는 이유가 있지 않을까 ?
학생들 : 다리의 근력을 증진시킬 수 있을 것 같아요.
교사 : 그렇다. 체력 말고 사회·정서적 측면의 발달이 있지 않을까?
학생들 : 오래 달리다 보면 참을성을 키울 수 있을 것 같아요. 달릴 때 힘든 것을 이겨내고 끝까지 버텨나가겠다는 생각이 들 때도 있습니다.
