본문/내용
정보통신기술(Information and Communication Technology)은 경제성장, 구조, 고용 등 전반적인 경제부문에 많은 영향을 미치고 있으며 인플레이션을 최소한으로 유지하며 생산성을 극대화시키는 신경제(The New Economy) 구조의 핵심이다.
정보통신기술의 경제적 중요성은 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 국가경제에서 정보통신산업부문이 차지하는 비율을 나타내는 정보통신기술 집중도 (Information and Communication Technology Intensity) 는 선진국경제협력개발기구인 OECD 회원국가들 중 평균 7%를 차지했으며 현재까지 꾸준히 증가하는 추세이다.
정보통신산업의 지속적인 성장은 여러 가지 다양한 요소들로 구성되어 있다. 우선 공급적인 측면에서 본다면 각 기업들의 연구개발활동과 기술혁신을 통한 신제품 창출, 풍부한 벤처자금의 지원, 신제품 및 서비스 특화를 통한 급속한 성장, 다양한 서비스체제 구축 등이 있다. 수요적인 측면에서는 정보통신기기 및 사용가격인하, 규제완화 및 정보통신시장의 자유화 등이다.
정보통신기술 중 이동통신기술(Mobile Telecommunication Technology)의 성장은 괄목할 만 하다. OECD 회원국들 중 평균 100명당 1명만이…
