MIB repository는 게이트웨이에서 다룰 수 있는 정적인 MIB구조를 제공한다.
이와 같은 리스트는 CORBA의 Naming service를 이용하여 구성하거나 Object Factory를 정의하여 구현할 수 있다. Object Factory는 관리 해야 될 모든 객체 리스트를 가지고 있어 요구를 하게 되면 객체의 참조 포인터를 리턴 한다. MIB repository는 다음의 기능을 제공한다. MIB의 그룹, 테이블 및 속성들의 리스트를 제공한다.
특정 SNMP에이전트 접근을 위해 CORBA도매인 내에서 MIB에 접근하기위한 접근 생 성 및 운용을 제공한다. 즉 어떤 특정 에이전트의 정보를 액세스하기위해 CORBA매니저는 게이트웨이에게 특정 에이전트의 MIB을 요청해야 하고, 게이트웨이는 Naming tree또는 Object Factory를 이용하여 MIB에 접근할 수 있는 객체 참조 포인터를 생성해 주며, 매니저는 이 객체 참조 포인터를 이용하여 관리 대상이 되는 에이전트에게 요청 (Request)을 함으로써 원하는 정보를 얻어 올 수 있게 된다.
