“자신의 말 속에서 주체의 의도와 전혀 다른 것이 나올 수도” 있고, “의미작용은 주체의 의도나 진리에 의존하기는커녕 오히려 언어체계 내에서 주체의 위치를 지정해주는 역할”(라캉 65)을 한다. 문제는 홀로퍼니즈를 위시한 순수 지식을 추구하는 모든 남성주체들이 스스로도 그 의미를 알 수 없는 기표에 지배들 받고 있으며, 그들의 언어체계 내에서 지정 받은 위치는 환상의 세계이기 때문에 발을 디딜 곳이 없다는 점이다. 마지막으로 오인의 구조에서 빚어진 “일련의 환상들은 자기 동일성을 가정하는 자기방어적인 갑주의 형태를 띠고 주체를 소외”시키며 “이 소외구조가 그 엄밀성으로 말미암아” “공격성”(라캉 44)을 띠게 된다. “거울단계란 개념에 비추어볼 때 1차적 자기애(primary narcissism)”는 “주체가 타자와의 관계 속에서 드러내는 공격성(특히 가장 도움을 많이 받는 사람에게까지도 드러내는)”으로 표출되는 “존재론적인 부정성(existential negativity)”(라캉 46)을 드러낸다. 남성들이 추구하는 아카데미에서 여성은, “남성적 말”이라 할 수 있는 “추상적이며, 순수하고, 육체적인 것과 분리된 철학적 지식”과 대극 개념으로 설정된다. 여성은 “육체적인 지식(carnal knowledge)”으로 인식되기 때문에 ‘이상적인 자아’ 추구를 위해 지양되어져야 할 관계에 놓이게 된다(Breitenberg 438). 또한 여성과의 …
