본문/내용
본 연구에서 제작한 유아의 읽기 태도 검사의 준거 관련 타당도를 알아보기 위하여 유아의 읽기 흥미를 검사하기 위한 Askov(1973)의 Primary Pupil Reading Attitude Inventory(PPRAI)를 다소 수정하여 사용하였다. PPRAI는 검사자가 두 가지의 활동이 그려져 있는 그림을 유아에게 보여주면서 두 개의 활동 중에서 더 하고 싶은 활동의 그림을 선택하게 함으로써 유아의 읽기에 관한 관심을 측정해보도록 하는 검사이다. 검사는 총 30쌍의 그림으로 구성되어 있으며 유아가 습관적으로 읽기 활동 그림을 선택하게 되는 문제점을 없애기 위하여 30쌍중에서 18쌍에만 읽기 활동 그림을 포함시켰으며, 나머지 12쌍은 읽기가 아닌 활동 중에서 선택하도록 하였다. 유아가 읽기 활동 그림을 선택하면 1점, 다른 활동 그림을 선택하면 0점을 준다. 본연구에서는 우리 나라 유아들에게 친숙한 12개의 비읽기활동을 선정하여 각 활동을 읽기 활동과 짝을 지은 12 문항과 읽기 활동이 아닌 그림끼리 짝 지은 6문항을 포함한 18문항으로 구성하였다. 점수는 12 문항 중에서 유아가 읽기 활동을 선택한 문항의 수로 0-12점까지 받을 수 있다.
