본문/내용
1. 머리말
본고의 목적은 다음과 같다. 스페인어의 후치 주어(DP, 명사구)는 동사구내 지정어 위치에 남아 있는 것으로 그 의미해석(예; 무표적 초점해석, 결속 현상)이 기저생성위치(in situ)에서 이루어져야 한다. 이러한 의미해석을 위해 후치주어의 형태자질(formal feature)이 기능적 핵(Tense)과의 자질점검시, covert syntax에서 자질만의 이동(Move-F)을 통해 그 형태자질(예; 격자질, D 자질, phi-자질)이 점검되어야 한다. 본 제안은, Lee(1994)의 제안을 발전시킨 것으로, Chomsky(1995)가 제시한 최소주의 이론에 기초하여 전개된다. 본 논고는 다음과 같이 구성된다. 먼저, 우리는 스페인어의 후치주어가 후치주어를 허용하는 다른 언어와 비교하여 동사구내 지정어 위치 [SPEC, VP]에 있음을 보이고 몇가지 논증을 통해 이를 확인할 것이다. 둘째, 지배-결속이론 하에서의 후치주어에 대한 격할당 메카니즘을 살펴보고 이를 비판한다. 셋째, Chomsky(1992)에 의거한, 후치주어의 Move-α를 통한 격점검 내용을 살펴보고 이의 문제점을 지적한다. 넷째, 앞서 제기한 문제점을 바탕으로 하여 우리는 covert syntax에서의 자질만의 이동을 통한 격점검 메카니즘…
