First of all, we have no right to infringe on human being`s own dignity in the way of the death penalty.
첫 번째, 사형은 인간의 존엄성을 침해할 권리가 없다고 생각한다.
I think the life has absolute worth in itself. It is prescribed under the Constitution that all the people have the dignity and worth and the nation owes a duty to secure the fundamental human rights.
생명은 그 자체가 절대적 가치를 가진다. 헌법에도 모든 국민은 인간으로서의 존엄과 가치를 가진다고 규정되어있다. 또한 국가는 인간으로서의 존엄과 가치를 가지는 개인의 기본적 인권을 보장할 의무를 지고 있음도 명기하고 있다.
The death penalty is a barbaric and cruel punishment that the nation deprives the people of the life, and violates the right of life which is premised in the human being`s dignity and worth.
사형은 국가가 인간의 생명을 박탈하는 야만적이고 잔혹한 형벌이며, 인간의 존엄성과 가치의 전제가 되는 생명권을 침해하는 것이므로 허용될 수 없다.
