본문/내용
대개 우리는 철학이 단일한 성격의 학문이라는 가정을 갖고 있다. 이를 철학의 단일성 가정이라 할 수 있겠다. 우리는 대개 이런 가정을 바탕으로 철학의 본성을 이해하고 설명하려 한다. 하지만 이런 무의식적인 가정은 의심스러운 가정이다. 논자는 이런 가정이 의심스럽다는 것을 보이기 위해서, 윤리학의 구분을 철학 일반에 적용하고자 한다. 윤리학을 기술 윤리학, 규범 윤리학, 상위 윤리학으로 구분하는 것과 마찬가지로 기술 철학, 규범 철학, 상위 철학이 구분될 수 있다. 이런 구분을 도입하고 나면, 철학의 본성을 보다 명확히 확인할 수 있고, “철학하기”와 “철학 배우기”의 차이를 명백히 할 수 있다. 더 나아가 이런 이해를 통해 우리는 철학과 철학 교육이 부딪친 위기의 본질과 이에 대한 처방의 핵심을 보다 명확히 말할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
