본문/내용
1. ‘디지털경제’ 등장의 주요 배경
1990년대 중반이후 ‘디지털 경제’가 본격적으로 등장하게된 직·간접적인 배경을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 먼저 직접적인 배경으로는 1980년대 후반이후 미국을 중심으로 하는 IT산업의 급속 성장과 1990년대 중반부터 인터넷의 상용화를 들 수 있다. 그리고 간접적인 배경으로 선진국을 중심으로 한 자본주의 세계경제의 ‘서비스화’, ‘소프트화’, ‘글로벌화’를 들 수 있다.(1) 직접적 배경
① 미국 IT산업의 성장
‘Alliance for Converging Technology’의 회장인 데이비드 티콜(D. Ticoll)은 ‘디지털 경제’ 하에서 생산, 서비스, 시장 및 채널이 재정의 되고 있으며, 모든 산업부문은 IT에 의해 주도되고 또한 리스트럭처링 되고 있다’(D. Ticoll, 1999)고 말한다. 또한 미국 상무부의 분석에 따르면, 최근 몇 년간 미국 경제발전에서 가장 주목되는 것은 투자와 국내총생산(GDP)에서 차지하는 IT산업 미국 내에서도 아직 IT산업에 대한 정의가 통일되어 있지 않은 실정이다. 예를 들어 미국의 경제분석국(BEA)은 IT산업을 하이테크 산업으로 평가한다. 이 하이테크 산업에는 컴퓨터 장비와 정보통신 산업뿐만 아니라 군사용 항공기, 항공기 엔진, 전자제품 같은 각종 국방용 하드웨어를 생산하는 산업도 포함된다. 이 밖에도 센서스국, OECD의 ICCP(Information, Compu…참고문헌
