1. 감각통합법
1) 감각통합의 정의
감각통합은 자신의 신체와 외부 환경으로부터 주어지는 감각들을 조직화하고 그 환경 속에서 신체를 효과적으로 사용할 수 있도록 하는 신경학적 과정(neurological process)을 말한다. 이것은 사람의 발달 가운데 뇌가 안팎으로 많은 자극을 유효하게 이용할 수 있듯이 상황에 맞게 적합한 반응을 편성하는 것이 감각 통합이다. 이것은 목적적인 행위수행을 위한 운동계획 수립에 아주 중요한 역할을 한다.
과거의 경험과 그 경험에 따라 작용하는 감각에 대해 기억하는 것을 이용하여 우리는 자신의 몸이 어떻게 작용하는지 어떻에 내몸을 이용하는지에 대한 새로운 계획수립이 가능하게 된다. 그러면 학습발달에 있어서 촉각, 고유감각, 전정기관은 특히 중요하다.
정상아동의 감각통합은 주로 놀이를 통해서 이루어진다. 정상아동은 새로운 것을 보았을 때 그것의 사용에 대한 계획을 수립할 수 있지만 장애아동의 경우 일상생활 수행 불가능으로 인해 많은 것을 경험하지 못하게 된다. 이에 부모나 치료사의 도움으로 경험을 쌓아감으로서 감각통합의 발달이 이루어진다.

1) 감각통합의 정의
