A Study on Korean Language Education as a Science
In this paper, I see the Korean Language Education as a systematic science which has it`s own subject of reserch, it`s own method of reserch, and it`s own internal system. With this line of though, I try to solve some problems which are barriers to studing of teaching and learning of Korean Language.
I think the object of Koraen Language Euducation is `the usage of Korean Language`. It seems that the usage of Korean Language can be classified into three parts which are primative communication faculity part, thinking faculty part, and the attitude to language usage part.
The primative communication faculty part has been emphasied since the period of `Kyosuyomok`. The thinking faculty part has been emphasied since the period of the 5th curriculum of Korean Language Education. But the attitude to language usage part has been evoked many debations among reserchers. The debations are mainly about the education of literature in Korean Language Education and of language in the view of so called nationalism.
I think that `the usage of Korean Language` necessarily involves the attitude to Korean language. It seems that the attitude classified two parts. The one is the view that we must treat the human communication process as the process of human relation and the process of self-developement. The other is the attitude to Korean language itself, that is love of Korean language which related to love of Korean traditon.
Then, I think the three parts of Korean Language Education, in which the usage of Korean Language is the primative educational object, can be systematized in Korean Language Education.
