Drory & Beaty(1991)는 여성보다는 남성이 조직내 정치적 행동(political tactics)에 대하여 상대적으로 관대한 경향을 보인다는 연구결과를 내놓았다. 여기서 정치적 행동이란 조직구성원들간의 권력게임이나 알력관계를 의미하며, 이에 대한 시각에 있어서 여성들이 보다 부정적이라는 것이다. 여성과 남성간의 윤리적 성향의 차이 유무에 대해서는 상반된 연구결과가 존재하지만 큰 차이가 없다는 쪽이 좀 더 많은 편이다(Franke et al., 1997; Robin & Babin, 1997; Schminke, 1997).
조직몰입에 대한 비교에서도 다양한 연구성과들이 나타나고 있다. Grusky(1966)는 여성은 채용단계에서 남성보다 훨씬 더 어려움을 겪기 때문에, 일단 직장을 갖게 되면 남성보다 강한 조직몰입도를 보인다고 한다. Mathieu & Zajac(1990)도 차이가 비록 적지만 여성은 남성보다 높은 조직몰입도를 나타낸다고 한다. 그렇지만 Schwartz(1989)는 여성의 경우 높은 이직율을 보이기 때문에 남성보다 고용비용이 많이 든다고 한다. 직장과 가정을 동시에 가져야 하는 여성들은 조직과 업무에 대한 몰입도가 낮다는 것이다. 여성은 육아로 인해 직장을 떠나는 경향이 높으며, 여성에게는 가정이 대안(option)이 될 수 있지만 남성은 그렇지 못하기 때문이다(Gerson, 1985; Viscusi, 1980).
