윤리의 해체와 해체의 윤리: 데리다
대부분의 탈근대주의 이론가들은 윤리학을 철학의 한 분과로 인식하고, 따라서 윤리학을 정립하려는 경우 그들이 해체하고자 하는 논리적 범주와 형이상학적 전제들 또는 존재론적 기초를 필연적으로 수용하여야 하기 때문에 해체주의와 윤리학의 결합가능성에 대해 회의적이다.. 예를 들어 Harold Bloom et. al. (1979); Rodolphe Gasché (1986); Irene Harvey (1986)등.
그러나 근래에 이르러 해체작업의 윤리적 차원을 부각시키려는 여러 이론가들의 시도가 점차 나타나고 있다.. 예를 들어 Simon Critchley (1992); Drucilla Cornell (1992); Richard Kearney (1993); Robert Bernasconi (1987) 등.
이들은 해체의 독해에 있어 윤리적 계기는 매우 중요하며 나아가 해체의 목적이 윤리적인 관심의 실현에 있다는 데리다의 기본 전제로부터 출발한다. 여기에서 주목할 점은 데리다의 윤리 또는 윤리학에 대한 개념화는 전통적인 관념과는 다르며, 이러한 차이는 레비나스(Emmanuel Levinas)의 윤리학에 대한 데리다의 독해를 통해 분명해진다는 점이다. 데리다의 윤리관은 그의 독특한 “이중적 태도(double gesture)”에 의해 특징지어지며, 따라서 우리는 데리다의 해체주의에서 윤리학의 가능성에 대한 회의와 윤리적 이상에 대한 강한 긍정을 동시에 발견하게 된다.
