Needed Government Turnaround
Ⅰ. Introduction
As globalization proceed, the notion of nation-state has faded. Political institutions transcending nation-state and laws that surpass a nation’s boarder will emerge. In this situation, only a high competent government with legitimacy will solve the problems that the post-capitalistic society of today face such as environmental pollution, terrorism, and so on. First of all, government has to be turned around from an obese, powerless institution to an effective, and efficient one that is suitable to govern. To do this, unnecessary policies need to be abandoned and on the other hand, policies that actually make good results have to be reinforced. This report researches how to implement economic politics to reach this goal.

ough Korea has come up to become one of the ‘big players’ in the game and has established a working infrastructure in a very short amount of time, it has its own set of problems. For example, a relatively low ratio of SOC stock/private capital or relatively high distribution costs. So an effective investment in the infrastructure is inevitable for Korea and therefore, an effective government is crucial for our next big leap on to the next level.
