본문/내용
Bruun의 연구결과를 확고하게 해주려는 노력들은 여러곳에서 발견할 수 있다. 실험실관찰에 근거하여 Caudill and Marlatt (1975)는 음주행동에 본뜨기효과 (modeling effect)가 있다는 것을 보고하였다. 연구대상자를 3개의 집단 (알코올소비를 많이 하는 모델이 있는 집단, 알코올소비를 적게하는 모델이 있는 집단, 그리고 통제집단으로서 모델이 없는 집단)으로 임의적으로 배당하고 실험목적은 포도주의 맛을 비교하기 위한 것이라고 공지하는 등 실험결과에 영향을 줄 수 있는 혼란요인들을 차단하였다. 본뜨기효과를 입증하기 위한 것이이었기 때문에 실험집단 2개내에서 모델과 연구대상자들간의 직접적인 상호작용은 허락하지 않았다. 일체의 언어적 상호작용을 허용하지 않았으나 연구대상자들이 모델의 행동을 관찰할 수는 있도록 한 실험설계였다. 그 결과 알코올소비를 많이 하는 모델이 있는 집단 (관찰하는 동안 모델은 700ml의 포도주를 마심)에 배정된 연구대상자들이 (364ml의 포도주를 마심) 통제집단 (180.8ml의 포도주를 마심)보다는 유의한 차이가 날 정도로 술을 더 많이 마셨지만 알코올소비를 적게하는 모델 (100ml를 마심)이 있는 집단에 배정…(생략)
