5. Relative risk for infective endocarditis

1) Relative high risk : Prosthetic heart valve, Aortic valve disease, MR, PDA, VSD, Coarctation, Marfan syn.

2) Intermediate risk : MVPS, MS, TS, PS, IHSS.

3) Very low risk : ASD, Atherosclerosis, 매독성 동맥염, Pace maker.

6. Clinical manifestation
1) Fever (usually low grade)
2) Cardiac murmur
3) Anemia

4) 심부전의 증상 : Dyspnea, Splenomegaly

5) Microembolus에 의한 증상

① Petechiae

② Splinter hemorrhage : 손톱 밑에 생기는 선상 출혈

③ Janeway`s lesion ; Nontender macular hemorrhage area on the parm and sole.

④ Roth`s spot: oval retinal hemorrhage with clear pale center

⑤ Osler`s node : small and tender erythematous nodule on the finger and toe pads
