Preface
This manual contains the solutions for the problems at the ends of the chapters in the textbook. This solutions manual should only be used as a last resort ? either you had no idea how to solve a problem, or you obtained a ?nal answer which does not agree with the one given in the textbook. In either case, you should have spent a considerable time thinking about and/or doing the problem before you look here. There may be errors in this manual, or there may be better ways of explaining the solution to a particular problem. Comments or suggestions should be sent to the author by email at dtulett@mun.ca
