미국의 사실주의 작가이자 노예제 반대자인 Harriet Beecher Stowe가 이 책을 썼다.
The book was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe, an American realism writer and anti-slaveist.
착한 노예인 엉클 톰은 주인 밑에서 평생을 일하며 살았다.
Uncle Tom, a good slave, lived under his master all his life.
하지만 안타깝게도 주인의 경제적 사정이 어려워져 다른 곳으로 팔려가게 된다.
