Some people say the lives of black Americans have improved greatly. Jobs and earnings are increasing. And, black culture is being celebrated by all races.

] There are several reasons why people see a hopeful future for African Americans. Many blacks are earning more money than they ever have before. Unemployment is at its lowest level in twenty-five years. Researchers say there are now more jobs for uneducated black men between the ages of sixteen and twenty-four. The unemployment rate among these young black men has always been higher than other groups.
