Ⅰ. 영재 교수학습 프로그램의 개발
1. 영재 교수학습 프로그램
영재 교수학습의 프로그램은 영재의 정의에서 출발한다. 다양한 영재의 정의 중에서 어떠한 영역의 영재를 판별하여 영재교육을 할 것인가가 관건이 된다. 목표 지향적인 관점에서, 그리고 교육의 효율성이라는 측면에서 시행하고자 하는 영재교육의 목표가 무엇인가가 우선 명확해야 한다.
일반적으로 과학 영재교육을 목표로 한다면 과학 영재를 정의하고 적합한 도구를 사용하여 과학 영재의 특성을 지닌 학생들을 판별해 내야하며 과학 영재 교수·학습 프로그램을 적용하여 과학 영재를 육성하게 된다. 그리하여 영재 교수·학습 프로그램에 의해 시행된 영재교육이 목표에 부응한 효과적인 내용이었는가를 평가하는 과정으로 이어진다.
영재 교수·학습 프로그램이란 “영재로 판별되는 학생들의 필요와 희망에 부합하는 교육내용을 그들의 학습속도, 학습양식, 지적 수준과 정의적 특성에 맞춰 실천하려는 교육계획이다.” (신세호, 1988)또한 Marland 보고서(1972)에 의하면 영재교육 프로그램은 고등 수준의 인지개념 및 과정을 강조하는 차별화된 교육과정에 중점을 둔다. 또한, 영재의 학…(생략)
