4. 그럴듯한 이야기(eikôs logos)
같음의 운동은 가장 바깥에 있는 띠와 항성의 운동을 나타내며, 다름의 운동은 안에 있는 띠들과 행성의 운동을 나타낸다. 신들, 또는 데미우르고스의 자식들은 아버지의 지시를 따르는데(Tim. 42e), 그 지시는 여럿을 섞어 하나로 만들고 다시 하나를 여럿으로 해체하라는 지시이다. 인간 신체를 구성할 때도 분리하고 혼합하는 방법이 계속 적용된다. Tim. 73b 참조.
형이상학적 구성 요소인 같음(Tim. 75d)과 다름이 Tim. 74a (다름의 능력).
이러한 과정에 적용된다.
강제로 연결하는 상황은 인간 영혼의 가사적(可死的) 부분을 설명하는 곳에서 분명하게 나타난다: 욕구하는 부분…(생략)
1) 엄밀한 이야기(akribês logos)인가?
일부 플라톤 해석가에 따르면, 소수의 사람만이 감각 세계에 대해 엄밀하게 이야기할 수 있다. 그래서 인간이 감각 세계에 대한 그럴듯한 설명에만 만족해야 한다는 언급이 티마이오스에게는 타당하지만 소크라테스에게는 타당하지 않으며 따라서 진지하게 받아들일 언급이 아니라고 한다. G.
